BOOKS THAT INVISION LIKES

Owl that is reading

Dr. Seuss has a line in one of his books that says…“The More that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, The more places you'll go.”  With that spirit, here are books that InVision staff enjoyed:.

Solito: A Memoir by Javier Zamora - Powerful and moving story of the challenging journey of a nine-year-old boy from El Salvador who immigrated to the United States. It’s an inspiring story of resilience, hope, and the search for family and belonging.

Ines of my Soul: A Novel by Isabel Allende - This is a story about Inés Suárez, a Spanish woman who took part in the Conquest of Chile. The author Allende blends historical facts with fictional storylines, making it a very interesting read.

Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White - A heartwarming story about a pig named Wilbur and his friendship with a spider named Charlotte, who saves him with her clever web writings. It teaches valuable lessons about friendship, loyalty, love, and sacrifice.

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck - This story follows two friends during the Great Depression as they dream of owning land. It explores themes of friendship, loneliness, and the harsh realities of life for migrant workers searching for the American Dream.

Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli - A memorable read from elementary school, this book explores the conflict between fitting in and being true to oneself. It’s a great book for those exploring their identity.
