Imagine someone looking for [your business services/products] but they are not sure if they should go with you or your competitor down the street.  They look you up on line and lo and behold, they see that you have a good Google rating and even read a few of the reviews that say that you are trustworthy, offer great prices and have friendly staff.  They don’t see the same with your competitors.  Who do you think they will go with?  Yes, YOU!

But to get good reviews, you have to encourage your customers to leave them.  They have their own lives and don’t always think about doing this.  It’s often the people that are not happy that are more motivated to leave a negative review.  So every customer that you get, ask them to leave a review.  Don’t tell them what to put…but assume that they will leave kind words because you deserve it.  You can even send your customer a link that they would click on and easily leave a review.

We also recommend responding to the reviews.  It shows that you do care about what people are saying.  But never become defensive if someone leaves a negative comment.  Fair or unfair, it’s the way they feel and the best we can do as business owners is apologize for their experience and try to do better.  One time I had a customer leave a negative review…I called them to see how I can make it better.  It really came down to a misunderstanding and we were able to resolve the issue.  He thanked us for caring enough to reach out and later on changed his review.

If by chance you are a customer of ours and would like to leave a review of your experience with us, you can easily do so by going to this link.
